Putnam County Fair 
First Place Lemon Sunshine Kisses

 Yield: About 36 cookies

1 package (18 to 19 ounces) lemon cake mix
1 egg, slightly beaten
a cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons water
a cup pecans

Preheat oven to 375E F. Combine cake mix, egg, oil, and water in bowl. Stir until thoroughly combined (mixture will be dry). Chop pecans and stir into dough. Using small scoop, drop dough 2 inches apart on baking stone. Bake 13 minutes or until lightly browned. Let cool 3 minutes. Then transfer to cooling rack.

Glaze:

1 lemon
½ cup powdered sugar

Remove 1 teaspoon zest from lemon. Remove 1 to 2 tablespoons juice from lemon. Whisk lemon zest, lemon juice and sugar in a small mixing bowl. Drizzle glaze on cooled cookies.
